Robotics for Good Youth Challenge Zimbabwe, 2025-2026

Theme: Agriculture and Food Security

BlitzTech role: Co-organiser across the full event lifecycle, gaming-board fabrication, transportation, mentoring, logistics, venue setup, competition-kit and practice-kit design, and event advertising on social media. Supplied practice kits to more than half the teams.

Second edition of the African national qualifier for the ITU Robotics for Good Youth Challenge. Hosted at Westridge Primary School on 27 March 2026 with 50 teams aged 10-18 competing on Agriculture and Food Security.

BlitzTech expanded its role for the 2025-2026 cycle to full co-organisation alongside Omorfo Tech Labs, covering gaming-board fabrication, transportation, mentoring, logistics, venue setup, event-day advertising on social media, and the design and production of the competition kits and practice kits supplied to more than 50% of the teams. The theme of Agriculture and Food Security aligned the competition with SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) and the Zimbabwe National AI Strategy (2026-2030).

Outcomes

Fifty teams across Junior and Senior divisions, ages 10-18. Winners qualified for the AI for Good Global Summit Grand Finale. Junior winners: RoboWolves. Senior winners: Upskill Academy Robotics Club.
