Terms of Use

The agreement between you and BlitzTech Electronics (Private) Limited when you use this website or buy our products and services.

Last updated: 2026-05-16

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the websites blitztechelectronics.co.zw and blitztechelectronics.com (collectively, the "Website") operated by BlitzTech Electronics (Private) Limited ("BlitzTech", "we", "us", "our"), a private limited company registered in Zimbabwe (registration number 54770A0282025; tax identification number 2000950909). By accessing the Website, creating an account, or placing an order with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Zimbabwe. The following legislation applies in particular:

  • The Consumer Protection Act [Chapter 14:14] (Act No. 5 of 2019), which sets out your rights as a consumer.
  • The Electronic Transactions and Electronic Commerce Act [Chapter 11:23], which gives legal validity to electronic contracts and signatures.
  • The Cyber and Data Protection Act [Chapter 12:07] (Act No. 5 of 2021), which governs how we handle your personal information (see our Privacy Policy).
  • The Sale of Goods Act [Chapter 14:11], which implies certain conditions and warranties into every sale.
  • The Income Tax Act [Chapter 23:06] and ZIMRA fiscalisation regulations applicable to retail sales.

Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably will be referred to the appropriate courts of Zimbabwe.

2. Eligibility and account registration

To purchase goods or services from BlitzTech you must be at least 18 years of age or, if younger, acting with the supervision of a parent or guardian. If you create an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, complete and current information;
  • Keep your password confidential and not share your account with anyone;
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access at e.makuyana@blitztechelectronics.co.zw;
  • Be solely responsible for activities that take place under your account.

3. Products, descriptions and pricing

We make reasonable efforts to keep product descriptions, images, technical specifications and prices accurate, but we do not warrant that every detail is free from error. If a product you ordered is materially different from its listing, you may return it under Section 7. Prices are shown in United States Dollars (USD); equivalent ZWG amounts are calculated at the prevailing interbank rate at the time of checkout and may change between visits.

All prices are inclusive of VAT where applicable. Delivery charges, where they apply, are calculated and displayed at checkout. We are a registered VAT vendor with ZIMRA and issue fiscalised receipts in compliance with the Income Tax Act and the Value Added Tax Act.

4. Placing an order

An order placed via the Website is an offer to purchase. The contract of sale is formed only when we issue an order-confirmation email and accept payment. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order for any of the following reasons:

  • Stock is unavailable or has been mispriced due to an error;
  • The order appears to be fraudulent or breaches our anti-abuse rules;
  • We are unable to deliver to the address provided;
  • You have failed previous attempts to pay or have an unresolved chargeback.

If we cancel a paid order, you will receive a full refund to the original payment method within 7 business days.

5. Payment

We accept the following payment methods, processed by accredited Zimbabwean payment partners:

  • Paynow — for ZIPIT, EcoCash, OneMoney, InnBucks and Visa/Mastercard transactions;
  • Direct bank transfer (RTGS or USD nostro) for B2B and larger orders, with the order held until proof of payment is verified;
  • Cash on collection at our HQ, subject to prior arrangement.

You warrant that you are authorised to use any payment method you provide and that your payment will not be reversed without lawful cause.

6. Delivery

We deliver across Zimbabwe through accredited courier partners. Standard timelines are 1–3 business days in Harare, 2–5 business days in other major centres, and longer for rural deliveries. Delivery is also available to other SADC countries (Mozambique, Zambia, Botswana, South Africa); cross-border timelines and duties are quoted on request. Risk in the goods passes to you when the goods are handed to you or your authorised representative.

7. Returns, refunds and the Consumer Protection Act

Under the Consumer Protection Act [Chapter 14:14], you have the right to:

  • Return goods within 7 days of delivery if they do not match the description on the website or are not of merchantable quality;
  • Receive a repair, replacement or refund for any defect that arises within 6 months of delivery, where the defect is not caused by misuse;
  • A 12-month warranty on most electronics components and finished products supplied by us, unless a longer manufacturer warranty applies (e.g. solar inverters, branded computing equipment).

To start a return, email sales@blitztechelectronics.co.zw with your order number, a description of the issue, and a photo if applicable. Custom-made or specially-ordered items (e.g. PCBs manufactured to your design, bespoke engineering services) are non-refundable once production has started, except for defects.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Website to:

  • Breach any applicable law or regulation, including the Cyber and Data Protection Act;
  • Attempt unauthorised access to any part of the Website, our systems or those of any other user;
  • Upload viruses, malware, or attempt to disrupt our services through denial-of-service attacks, scraping, or other abusive automated traffic;
  • Misrepresent your identity or impersonate any other person or entity;
  • Resell goods purchased at retail prices in commercial volumes without our written permission (see our distributorship programme for that).

9. Intellectual property

All content on the Website — including text, images, illustrations, logos, schematics, datasheets prepared by us, software, source code and downloadable files — is the intellectual property of BlitzTech or our licensors, and is protected by Zimbabwean and international copyright and trademark law. You may view, download and print content for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, redistribute or republish content commercially without prior written consent. The "BlitzTech" name and lightning logo are trademarks of BlitzTech Electronics (Private) Limited.

Third-party trademarks (e.g. Waveshare, DFRobot, OrangePi, Microsoft, Lafarge) used to identify product origins remain the property of their respective owners and are used here for descriptive purposes only.

10. Third-party content and links

The Website may link to third-party websites or display content from social networks. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, terms or privacy practices. Following a third-party link is at your own risk.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Zimbabwean law, BlitzTech and its directors, employees and agents are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or special losses arising from your use of the Website or our products, including lost profits, loss of data, or business interruption. Our total liability for any direct loss arising under or in connection with these Terms is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

12. Force majeure

We are not liable for delay or failure to perform our obligations where the cause is outside our reasonable control, including power outages, internet or telecommunications failures, civil disturbance, government action, pandemic, fuel shortages, or interruption of cross-border logistics.

13. Termination

We may suspend or close your account, refuse future orders, and remove your access to the Website if you breach these Terms or use the Website in a way that exposes us or other users to legal or security risk. You may close your account at any time by emailing us.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The version in force at the time you place an order applies to that order. Material changes will be communicated by a banner on the Website or by email to registered customers. Continuing to use the Website after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are provided in plain language for transparency and ease of reference. They do not, by themselves, constitute legal advice. Where your individual circumstances require advice, we recommend consulting a qualified legal practitioner in Zimbabwe. In the event of a disagreement between this plain-language version and any underlying contract you have signed with BlitzTech, the signed contract prevails.
